MORE ABOUT ME

Catherine Kramer, Dallas portrait photographer, smiles in a white lace outfit and poses in front of a classic brick building.

Before you share your story, let me tell you mine.

I picked up my first camera at 14 and quickly discovered a passion for capturing the moments that tell a larger story. I founded my first photography business photographing high-level equestrian showjumping competitions, where I developed a keen eye for timing, composition, and authentic emotion—skills that continue to shape my work today.

After spending my first three semesters competing as a Division I equestrian student-athlete, I returned to my creative roots and expanded my experience as a photographer for Baylor University Athletics. Working in fast-paced environments taught me how to anticipate meaningful moments, create compelling imagery, and document experiences as they unfold.

Today, through Captures by CK, I specialize in photographing life's most meaningful moments. Whether it's a graduation, engagement, family session, or personal achievement, my goal is to create images that feel genuine, timeless, and uniquely reflective of your story. Photography is about more than beautiful images—it's about preserving the emotions, stories, and memories that define a season of life.

I strive to not only to capture beautiful moments, but also to create a comfortable space that welcomes them.
